Held from February - March 2016, Children are natural gardeners and designers. However small, a garden is a special world to them. At this workshop children learnt how to design and create a Wicking Garden.
Children designed and made their very own DIY wicking garden. As they did this they explored issues around water in the garden, creating soil, transplanting and food waste. Experiments were laid out to illustrate different aspects of a wicking garden. They also expressed ideas through art and movement. They played with and handled different materials as well as experienced composting and creating healthy soil for their container garden.
